Here are mistakes 6-10 of made in the world of Pay-Per-Click ad campaigns.

Per our last article, here are mistakes 6-10 made in the world of PPC marketing:

6. Linking to your Home Page – This is a huge mistake. The goal of any ad campaign is to create a call to action and deliver on your ad promise.

If you send people to your Home Page then they will likely not find what they were promised and you will send them on a wild goose chase. Create landing pages that are direct, to the point and that support your ad, and your customers will thank you.

7. Using PPC as a branding exercise – How can your brand be a blue headline and some text in black? PPC is an ad campaign tool. It is not branding.

8. Increasing traffic for the sake of increasing traffic – Traffic is not always a good thing. Getting 10,000 people to your site with no conversions will be a waste of money. Again, be smart and focused.

9. Not giving it timePPC takes time and finesse. You need to be prepared to manage your campaigns for at least a period of six months.

10. Not really understanding how Pay Per Click Ads work – Read the information on the site. It’s not just about money. There are other factors that come into play. Educate yourself.
