Overview:
Jane Cosmetics, Estee-Lauder's number one teen brand, is sold via mass market retailers such as Wal*Mart, Target and Walgreens. Estee-Lauder turned to imagistic with the idea of redesigning the Jane Cosmetics Web site to provide a destination site that appealed to this finicky teen and pre-teen consumer.
Solution:
- Redesigned the look and feel of the site, creating a fun, content-rich environment and establishing the character and essence of the Jane brand online
- Developed information areas containing beauty, dating and other teen relevant advice
- Integrated the products as part of the overall experience - the ultimate factor in selling the product
- Created a BBS system that allows girls from all over the world to chat and exchange stories
Results:
- The new site solidly speaks to the target demographic and reinforces the brand online
- Although Jane did not want to make the site transactional, imagistic developed all the needed hooks to make it commerce-capable should they decide to change it at a later date
