ATLA Replaces OCR Hardware with Custom Web App

The American Theological Library Association (ATLA) commissioned Imagistic to build a proof of concept for an online optical character recognition (OCR) tool to replace their existing hardware and software. The project, dubbed OSCR (Online Service for Character Recognition), was designed as a set of micro-services using Python. When it is released to production, it will include Amazon's Simple Notification Service (SNS) and Amazon CloudWatch

“Working with the cutting-edge team at ATLA, we designed and delivered a proof of concept that will immediately save them time and money,” noted Kevin Howard Goldberg, Imagistic CEO.
