imagistic Banner Ad Campaign Yields High ROI for the ACME Network

Imagistic designed a number of leaderboard web banners for the ACME Network. Though typically not rocket science, budget and time were severely limited, so the need to provide the biggest bang for the buck in a tight timeline required a heightened level of focused strategy and delivery.

Owner of Imagistic, Kevin Howard Goldberg, was approached by the ACME Network (www.theacmenetwork.org) on this marketing need, having done project specifications work for them in the past. Imagistic's Robert Sullivan, Senior Project Manager, worked closely with Jeannette Draper, Platform Producer for the ACME Network, to A/B test 3 leaderboard banners targeted to amateur / professional fine artists who use deviantART.com (www.deviantart.com). Together, they agreed that to break through the white noise of banner placement, there needed to be a monetary opportunity that would resonate with target audience; an introductory discount (for a limited time) to become a ACME member was offered as part of the banner campaign

By coupling the membership discount with a limited time to act, responses far exceeded the expectations. In just 5 hours after launching banners Imagistic received the following email from Ms. Draper. "You'll be pleased to know we actually got a paid member within the first few hours of your promo ad going into circulation, which is certainly impressive! Our click-through rates have been consistently over 12-14% so far, which was also higher than I had expected. Kudos to all of you for helping us to design a piece that's working!"

At roughly $300 per membership, the ACME Network was able to create a new stream of membership revenue and generate a very high ROI on their marketing spend.
