Imagistic Rebuilds Entire Paralysis Resource Center Client System

Two years ago, the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation hired Imagistic to rebuild, from the ground up, their internal / external client management system. The project included reverse-engineering the existing application, reviewing and clarifying updated stakeholder requirements, a complete and lossless data migration, information architecture, graphic design, systems design and application development.

Imagistic redesigned the client facing interface https://feedback.paralysis.org/ and simplified the forms to make it easier for users with limited use of their hands. As well, the Imagistic team re-architected the internal administrative system with this same goal in mind, providing various additional user-centric features such as enabling / disabling the enter and tab keys and insuring that buttons and page links were much larger than a typical web-based application. This was done because many of the Information Specialists have limited hand mobility themselves.

"Our goal was to dramatically improve the systems' usability from both an informational standpoint as well as an interface standpoint. Working directly with the Information Specialist administration team, we were able to get incredible feedback throughout the final stages of development which enabled us to tune the system to more effectively match their existing work flow and also propel them into the future with greater efficiencies in data entry and reporting," said Imagistic president Kevin Howard Goldberg. "Knowing that the Information Specialists will now be able to focus more on helping families of / individuals with paralysis rather than on data entry is one of the gifts we get from doing software development for an organization such as the Reeve Foundation."
